MAINSTAY is a charming Hamptons bed and breakfast restored guest house in the heart of famous, historic Southampton Village. All rooms are individually furnished with antique iron beds, country pine and Southampton treasures. The gracious Master Suite has a king-sized bed, fireplace, tv, AC and an antique clawfoot tub in its private bath. With its windows on three sides overlooking the gardens it is always the first choice of our guests.
Most of our rooms have windows overlooking the gardens or historical, tree-lined Hill Street. Each room is unique featuring either gabled ceiling, or skylights, faux - painted walls, clawfoot tubs and vintage linens. All are updated with modern additions of TV, fans or A/C. We can accommodate families in our larger rooms or suites; all other rooms are double occupancy. A Continental breakfast in our large, homey dining room is included and is a feature of the guest house. Elizabeth Main has owned this charming Southampton bed and breakfast for more than 10 years. She has lovingly restored and decorated the l870 house with the intent of recapturing the easy, elegance that typified Southampton. The house is situated on a private acre on historic Hill Street within walking and biking distance of the ocean the bay and the world famous Shinnecock Golf Course and National Golf Links as well as the heart of Southampton Village. The grounds are landscaped with English flower gardens and a natural arbor to create a country haven. A 20x20 in ground pool is also hidden in the gardens.
